and that´s it, sorry if I posted this on the wrong place because i really don´t know what is the cause of this, I got online and everythings ok, but suddenly the visual style of xp changes for a sec from blue to grey and then I can connect but no pages and no info are displayed, very small amount of traffic only

that´s pretty much it, i´m sure that you would say, hey, that´s a virus, but that isn´t true according to nod32 and ad-aware :(

i´m really confused, I tried to renew/release IP with no success, also I tried to repair my connection but the system can´t do that, it says that it can´t

what can i do?, any hints?

You are not getting ANY connection at all? Is there a yellow triangle saying limited or no connectivity?

Try looking at your network connection first and see if it is enabled. Then try disabling the windows firewall and disable all firewalls that you have software and hardware (meaning the router). Start from scratch and build your way up. Start simple first too.

First, plug you modem directly into the computer to make sure that's not the problem. You should recycle the modem, unplug the modem and turn off the PC. Wait a couple of minutes and plug in the modem, what until all the modem lights are lit and start the computer. If it's not the modem. Probably easiest to start from scratch. You should have a reset button on your router, usually in the back and often recessed. Be sure to have your manual handy or have it up on another computer. Disconnect everything from the router and unplug it. Then follow the install directions, usually they will be on the CD that came with the router. Follow the instructions exactly. Agree with MikeyP410, disable you firewall. You don't have to worry about the routers firewire with a clean installation. Reseting the router will delete all your settings, passwords, etc

first of all, thanks guys for replying

 

here´s the deal, partners with wifi connections can use it properly, but they unplug me when they connect or a while after it, sometimes like 20 minutes, it isn´t actually an unplug since i´m still connected but I cannot open or download anything, no traffic at all, all I got are blank pages, but they are ok

 


edit: I got an ethernet connection, they do wifi

this is what bugs me, I will bold it, there´s only one connection created yet there´s two there

 

no spyware scan has found anything (adaware, spybot, avg, ccleaner, etc)
