How to remove a dual boot from Windows Advance Options Menu? I have Windows XP SP2 installed. Loaded Windows XP3 and instead of upgrading I picked new install and managed to stop the install half way but when I reboot, Windows Advance Options Menu comes up and has two options: Windows XP SP2 or Windows XP SP3 install. How to remove the latter? Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Register or log in to remove.

run msconfig.
Check the general tab to make sure the normal boot is on.

Then check the boot.ini tab, to make sure none of the boot option boxes are checked.

Look at the boot.ini file. Under the operating system, there should be a single command to boot into an OS.
