Question about installing an Intel E6600

Hi

I just got one of those Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 and I opened the box
today to have a look and there was none of the silver thermal paste
stuff in the box.
So my question is, do I need to get some of that stuff
and put it between the the chip and heatsink?
