I finally have all the pieces and will be putting my rig together this weekend. All the items (except for the NEC DVD-RW 18x) are listed in below. This is my first attempt at building a computer from the ground up. I'm a pretty smart guy, been working in the technology field (currently in sales) for a long time now, but I'm sure there are nuances to this only your expert opinons can provide.
If anyone has any general advice for me, I will take it and greatly appreciate it. If anyone has experience building with any of these specific components, please share your thoughts.
The case has water cooling ports built in the back, so I think I *will* eventually experiment with overclocking and watercooling, if at all possible, but I think I'd like to make sure I can build a working PC first
Yes, the video card is crappy, but I didnt want to wait til I could afford the 7900GS I wanted (or better.) I'll upgrade that when I can.
Consider I've been using a P3 550Mhz with a GeForce 4200Ti for the last 3 years and you'll know how excited I am by the prospect of this new rig running Thanks!

I know where you're coming from but I'm seeking more physical build advice and tips than component help.
I got the board, chip & Vista as a bundle through Intel Retail Training, used to work for Best Buy. Didn't have a choice as to what was in the bundle and it seemed like a pretty good deal at the time. Been 4 months since I got it, just been saving money for the other pieces, hehe.
With DDR2 667MHz RAM, there'd be little point to a watercooled solution. You could easily achieve a matching FSB speed with the processor on an air-cooled solution, quite possibly with the stock HSF.
Thanks, but I do realize the system wont need watercooling. I will upgrade in the future and try my hand at overclocking, which may or may not warrant watercooling. I just like the case because it has all the features of the P180B but ALSO has the ports for watercooling AND an external switch for the top & rear fans
Yeah, it's a pretty nice case. I'm personally waiting for the NZXT HUSH, just because I want a case as quiet as the Antec, but one that isn't stupidly heavy.
