i bought a new hp laptop with windows vista home premium preinstalled. i didnt recieve the vista DVD along but made a recovery disk.I am now planning to install windows7 as the operating system and would like to know if the vista recovery disk can be used to re-install vista if necessary again.

Huh??? The recovery disk will not only reinstall the Vista OS but all other programs that came on the computer.

Ok, my mistake. How grumpy9117 said, you can install vista with the recovery disk.
