Computer NOW continuously shuts down & restarts after it gets to the "Verify DMI Pool Data... Boot From CD:" sceen... after downloadind DVD programs from a forum Monday, but before shuting the computer down, Norton Internet Security Said it found 3 Trojons and fixed them... problem = have I lost the master boot record? System is a 2004 emachine that came with no discs. Can anyone tell me where I can download a Win XP Master Boot Record to reinstall?

First of all, in BIOS be sure the hard drive with the XP installation is set to first boot device. Then, if a repair of the boot sector is required, use the Windows XP CD repair console to repair the boot sector. Type in FIXBOOT then enter and restart.
