So I rebuilt me system recently for Vista, flashing the newest BIOS first - v1805 beta. I'm not sure what the issue is, but after the first post screen(prior to counting the memory or identifiyng the the IDE devices) the system just sits there doing nothing for about 90sec. 8O The only thing that happens during this time, (if there is a DVD in the drive) is the DVD-ROM spins the disc. I have no idea why, I've re-flashed the BIOS again...messed with setting, reset the BIOS defaults....everytime I get the same result. The machine is completely stable, and I've been using it like this for about 4 months now, but it's really annoying, because otherwise the booting proccess is pretty quick. Any ideas? :?

Try setting the bios boot settings to hard drive as first boot device. Also disable any onboard devices you are not using
