RAID Migration queries

Hi folks hoping someone can provide a few gems here.

I'm wondering whether its possible or advisable even to try and migrate a windows vista install from a non RAID hdd to a RAID setup.

I would like to able to do this with out a reinstall but not sure if its possible, any help will be much appreciated.
