Hi,

I have just purchased a laptop with Vista Home Premium on it and want to set it up so that my buddy can access certain folders. I know that there is software such as PCanywhere, but can't Vista do the same thing? (He also has Vista Home Premium, which will likely help.)

What do I need to do to set this up securely?

Well in XP I would use himachi to set up a vpn. Just share the folder on the network and install hamachi on both computers. Works well for me no hassels. Hopefully it's not any diff under vista.
