How to delete name of desktop icons

i'm screwed up by the names that apear @ da bottom of da icons...!!
is there any way to remove it???????/

LOL. Can't rename Recycle Bin. I renamed My Computer Pam Anderson.

Ya, your stuck with recycle bin....I can see how that's confusing though. It's a trash can, and your deleting stuff. But it's called recycle bin. Do you recycle trash? I'm all messed up now.

You can rename the "recycle bin" as well as the "start button" in win xp. I renamed mine "trash can". you have to go into the registry to do it. not that complicated. you can find out how to change either one on a google search or you can search for how to do it on youtube.
