(also posted in software/xp/drivers forum not sure where is best)
I have got a 17" tft panel attached via a VGA lead on my secondary output
I want to reduce the visible screen size to about 2/3 of normal area
ideally retaining native resolution
full screen = 1280x1024
half size = 1140x512
can this be done (I have seen it on an old laptop)
I want to reduce the resolution and shrink the screen size so i get borders around the image
The reason:
a few years late but was always interested in the article on here to create a projector using a OHP and an old TFT panel
unfortunatly a 17" panel is larger than the projector bed
It works well running things in a window and have got a 16:9 template to block out the image around the bit i want to project.
so i need to shrink the visable area on the tft panel so it fits within the bed
a lower than native resolution auto resizes to fill the screen htis is what i want to prevent.
I can get about a 90" 16:9 image any more than this suffers from excessive colour bleeding and dull colours. (the room does have to be reasonably dark though)
