Have installed Windows Vista and cannot install above scanner as it is not compatible with Windows Vista.

Had the same problem when I switched form XP to W7. Discovered that the scanner driver HP psc 1200 bult into W7 works OK. Best to update as welll when installed. The only bug bear is that you have to import then scan to save it but minor.
