I don't have a wallpaper anymore. It says: "Active Desktop Recovery". Then a message appears: "Internet Exployer Script Error". I click "yes" and I am still at the "Active Desktop Recovery".

Reboot and try the recovery again. And try to chkdsk just for the heck of it on next reboot. RUN tyMake sure you have most of the updates. What XP version service pack are you running?p in cmd -command line chkdsk /f answer yes because you are using the volume chkdsk on the next reboot. Try that, post what happens.
