Ok i am moving to a new computer hard drive. I did a fresh install of a XP on the new computer and I have copied all the data and it seemed to go ok. But I am having trouble with my windows media player library. I tried coping the database files but i think that the album art and music that is missing is referencing the the old path of the file on the other computer. If i try to scan the library i lose all my play counts and other user data.

Is there a program that can export the window media player library? I think i once had one but it got lost in the move.

hello Shadowraze, I have a similar problem as I have stored all my music on a network drive and updated the music information in media player. When I tried to use the same songs on a different pc in the network, it build up a database that contains the old informations. Apparently Media Player does not update the meta data in the file. Did you find a solution for your problem?
