I work for a large (70k employees) company, which seems to have a policy set which disables the use of the XP style menu. When I right click on the taskbar, select properties and then start menu tab, there is only a button for Classic Start Menu.

I have changed the registry entry for NoSimpleStartMenu to 0, as well as disabled the group policy for 'Force Classic Start menu'. Rebooting has no effect. These are the only two fixes I have found by extensive googling.

So it looks like this is something I dont have the rights to change, even though I am admin on my machine.

Is there any way to work around this?

Thanks!
