This is my first time I have built a system, and I have a question about the fan connectors on the motherboard.
My motherboard is gigabyte ga-965p-ds3
There are 2 fan connectors on the motherboard. One is labeled cpu, the other is labeled sys.
It turns out that the cable for the case fan will not reach to the sys fan connector on the motherboard. It will reach to the cpu fan connector. The fan cable for the cpu will reach either fan connector.
So, can I connect the case fan to the cpu fan connector and the cpu fan to the sys fan connector?
If not, any suggestions about how to connect the case fan?
Thanks for helping a noobie
