Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire 5738 running Vista SP2. I am attempting to copy a 2GB file from a 4GB USB Flash drive to my Acer Aspire. Every time I attempt the transfer the entire laptop freezes at some random point during the transfer and the only way to regain control of the laptop is to turn the laptop off at the power button. I have tested the flash drive on other vista running SP1 & SP2 machines and it works fine. Any advice?

Not a solution to the problem really but I have since discovered that I do not have the same issues with copying files when I run the machine in safe mode.

there must be somthing that is causing the pen drive not to fucntion when you are logged in normally, check what software that might be causing a conflict.
