i fixed cdrom error 39 so could install windows now keyboard and mouse won't work have tried ps2 also any suggestions?

You've tried usb and ps2 keyboards & mice?

Try booting into safe mode. If you can get into safe mode w/ use of the mouse or keyboard, check the device manager for any conflicts.

have tried both usb and ps2 with safe mode is same problem mouse and keyboard only work in bios. thanks

What did you do to fix the CD ROM error? What happened right before they stopped working?

Ok i was using antivirus and took out 157 problems then the cdroms dissapeared so i used remove uppers and lowers in reg edit it worked but lost key board and mouse now can't fix it.

Ok found a fix in case someone else has same problem ctrl f11 wrked like a charm thanks for your help. This site is appreciated!

That's the command for a system restore w/ Dells'. Glad to hear all is good.
