Best laptop under $1000 over 6gb-500gb??

I was gonna buy a mac but they are to expensive, I want something fast and big but not so expensive

I saw a HD 8gb of memory, 750gb hd, i7 processor, $729 it sounds good to me but I really don't know much about computers so I really need some HELP PLEASE!! is this a good brand? or what brands should I be looking for? Thank you!!
