Hey all,

I'm in the process of buying the parts so I can build a new computer. I'm kind of new to the whole computer thing and I currently have an old dell computer with a version of windows XP that came pre-installed on it. All I wanted to know if its possible to install the OS that came with my pre-built dell and use the product key off dell's case, and dell's XP disc to install it on my new computer build. I'm trying to save some money and I wasen't sure if it would work if I used it on any other computer besides the one it came on. Thanks in advance for all the help!

No.
A Dell build of XP will only install/run on a machine with a Dell BIOS.
