i have created pictures and clips in the story board but when i want to view it before i publish it it want show anything but a black screen. while building the storyboard it would allow me to run thru to see wht it will look like with the effects and transitions but for the finalization when i click to see the final nothing.

try updating codecs for your player, i would recommend using Klite codec pack try googling for it and should help
