Trying to disable companion on this one computer for days

Hello fellow Techies and Rockers geeks nerds i love you all i am a normal dude i can fix and build any system or network give me time or sometimes of corse its all very easy with no problems but this one computer guys help me shut off companion ive trid regedit it to no and umm i duno what im missing the other computer did it with not much work haha at least 3 nights so far thsi is night number 4 on this older comp which runs really fast so i wanna fix it so i can game on it for a while fresh and fast before too much programming you know..well trying to disable search companion on this one computer for days i dont like it it annoys the hell out of me that it pops up with blank and most files i open are blanks it closes everything i think it totally suXxors now why cant i just shut the stoopid thing like eveything else First time i have to say what a stoopid program with no controls.
