how do i play a cdfs cd on my computer

I have just started making CD's from audiotapes on my old Pioneer cd recorder. It records them in CDFS. They play on my computer on windows Media player. I have Windows 7. They also play on the factory player in my old Cadillac which only accepts copies made in WAV format on the computer. Are you sure you have finalized the CD. It should play in anything because CDFS is the base format used in CD recording for many years. My stereo CD recorder is about 15 years old. My Pioneer stereo is a 1989 model and my Cadillac is a 1996. Yes, I am on old timer too.
