I just plugged my external hard drive into my Windows Vista machine and noticed that the "delete" option is missing when I right click on a file or folder.

I'm guessing it's something to do with permissions but I am logged in as administrator and I've never had problems deleting stuff from it using this PC before. :confused:

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you change OS from XP to Vista perhaps and the owner is associated with the XP user account still?

I just unplugged the external HDD and when I plugged it back in I was able to delete stuff again... Very odd, but it's fixed now nonetheless.
