I have ordered a Zaurus 5600 and, in the meantime, am looking for software
for it. I ran across numerous mentions of icewm and XFree86 but
the links to slashdot do not work.

The link for icewm was
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net [...] k?download

On the likely chance that there was a later version, I tried a variety
of searches to no avail. The issue arose with XFree.

I feel like I am just overlooking something but I cannot figure
out what. Any pointers to where I can find these packages would
be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kenny

The standard version tracking system for the Zaurus is killefiz.de
where icewm is registered at
http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/showdetail.php?app=591

Unfortunately, the links aren't valid either. I think sourceforge has
(re)moved the zaurus downloads to /dev/null.

What I can propose is to look for X/Qt. Please visit the threads at
the very active http://www.zaurususergroup.com
