Computer won't notice new hard drive

I'm in the bios configuration for my new build... And when i try to auto detect my raptor hard drive there is no detection. I'm using sata cables to hook up computer to hard drive and ive tried swithing where it was hooked up on mb, but to no avail

u dont detect SATA drives in BIOS

if you want a new installation of Windows on the SATA Raptor, Windows will detect during installation of the CD your using is XP SP2 or newer!

other than that, you will need to make a floppy disk with drivers for your SATA controller from the CD provided by your motherboard vender.
