I was wondering if someone could help me because I can't find anything that has helped so far.

My computer was running fine until a week or so ago, at that point it started to slow up and emitted the overheating beep signal, so I cleaned it out. It's now running 12-14 degrees cooler and not slowing, and I thought all was fine.

But occasionally it emits a single short beep while Windows is running (not on startup). The sound comes from the tower...motherboard...whatever, not the speakers. I'm worried about it, is there anyone that can help at all?
