hi all . hope everyone is having a laid-back weekend :)
my problem is i think simple but want to check with you'll first .
my 3800x2 windsor 65 w runs very different temps on core 0 & 1 . core 0 is the coolest at 30c but hottest under load at 37/38c . while core 1 idles at 31c with a normal 34/35 c under load . is it my OS ? W2K Pro ? i can never get these cores to match under prime95 , looping quake etc etc . have cleaned and remounted HSF twice . so ! poor cpu maybe or owner expecting to much ??? these temps btw are at 2.3 gig clock . but she does same thing at straight stock . txs all

More about : diff temps dual core

Don't worry too much about it. It's quite normal for cores to have different temps from each other. On my e6700 there is a 3 degree offset at idle and a 2/3 degree at full load with both cores at a 100 % (dual prime95). Some deviate more than others depending on manufacturing tolerances i guess.
