Hi

Here is a pic of the I/O panel that came with my case.

Ok what are all those little tabs sticking out with the rounded ends?
What is thier purpose?
Why are they there?

The other one I got that came with my mobo has them to
and they are getting in the way of getting the mobo installed correctly.

What's the deal with these things?

Use the IO shield that came with your MB, the holes match the MB. I just bend the cutout tabs back to the MB side before I install the MB to the I/O shield. The tabs help to hold the MB in place. When you cut your finger bending the tabs, be sure to clean out the wound with alcohol and keep the area clean (like don't plung the commode with unprotected hands, use latex gloves). Just treat the I/O shield like a piece of aluminum with a lot of razor blades you have to bend around.
