Office 2007 Not Installing Updates

Greetings,

Got an odd one. Working on a computer for someone in my office. System (HP Pavillion with Vista 32 and Office 2007) was out of date and needed some typical software maintenance. Got everything cleaned up and updated except for Office 2007 Enterprise (available through my agency's MS HUP program).

Both Office 2007 SP1 and SP2 are installed, but Windows Update will not successfully install any other updates (individually or in a group). I even went so far as to uninstall the previous installation, clean the registry with CCleaner, and re-install. Still no joy. Also did the typical clearing of the SoftwareDistribution folder.

Any ideas?

This one has me stumped.

Nothing worse than solving your own posting. The fix was to disable UAC. Makes no sense since installing as an Administrator. Regardless, the problem is no more....
