Value Select won't overclock much. Whether or not you need to overclock your processor depends on :

a) Which processor you have;

b)What speed RAM you have.

my speed ram is 333mhz..i'm using dual channel..

In that case, no you wouldn't need to overclock your RAM. Your CPU will be able to reach 5.0 GHz before you would need to overclock the RAM, and to be honest I don't think you'll be getting anywhere near 5 gig!

I currently have the 2x1gb corsair value ddr2 667mhz.
Up until now i managed to oc them up to 850mhz without any problems
