Since installation of SP3 for XP, all USB ports are inactive and don't show up in My Computer at turn-on. I have to reboot two, three and occasionally four times before they activate and detect anything. Any ideas?

Check the device manager to see if there are any conflicts. If not, uninstall all the usb root hubs and restart. They will reinstall upon restart.

I tried your suggestion but to no avail. Got any other ideas?

You can try restoring back before the SP3 update to see if the problem goes away. If it does, you know the cause. If it's not the problem, you can always re-download the SP.
