I just realized that there is now a channel 702(KTVU) on comcast. So far
everything I have seen has been SD. Does anyone know if this will have the
Superbowl in 1080i?

Maybe I'll have people over after all...

Don't know but you can get it with OTA. I'm using $40 rabbit ears
from Radio Shack and they work find.

Are you IN SF? I'm in Livermore and I'm pretty sure I would need at least a
30ft antenna to even have a chance of getting the signal through the Dublin
grade.

It would be great to hear what other people have success with around the
bay.

Live in the Hayward Hills in a little valley near the end of the San
Mateo Bridge. With Rabitt ears I get 2,4,5,7,9,11,and 44. 7 is the
only station I have to move the 'ears' for. The others all get OTA hd
from the same location in my Apartment.

You should have practically no obstructions between you and Sutro tower.
Lucky you!

I wish. Down in a valley, the complexes antenna can't pull in the
signal. Bought the rabbit ears as a last resort and they work fine.
Must be there antennae. Now, If could get them to put in a really
good antenna just for hd....

I had the same problem with kron. Had to move the 'ears' to one and
only one place in my apartment then I got the signal fine. You might
want to wander around your place to see if you can find a sweet spot
for the big game.

"Rabbit ears" are for VHF (Channels 2 to 13) The actual broadcast
channels for HDTV are 99%
in the UHF band (14-69) and require a UHF antenna similar to this
one.

When it comes to OTA, some have the luck, others have the wrong location!
