video fail , MB dead . replaced MB . says 3 days to activate . reinstall win x p , install MB drivers , now on boot says to activate click yes / no . click no , takes to login , pick login asks to activate yes / no . if pick yes either place , black screen and nothing . i have tried fix on microsoft page even though bad activation is not problem . problem is black screen when trying to activate . i can find many similar problems with google but not this one in particular . any thoughts ?

maybe a reload of the OS, or a repair if you get lucky, if the M/B failed it could have corrupted some of the files
