I had my hard drive formatted 3 months ago due to a virus and now I can not view my powerpoint. The maeeage I get when I try to view is " your current security setting does not allow this file to be downloaded. How do I correct this Thank you Rose Pavey

try the simple things first, to do a restore to an earlier time, Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore, and pick a time before this started

system restore won't work if the problem has occured since the format. There wouldn't be any restore points to go back to. Does your user account have administrator rights?

Does your user account have administrator rights?

Admin rights allow your account to access anything on the PC. If you only have guest rights, you won't be able to do nearly as much.

start menu-->control panel-->user accounts-->under your account's name, it should say if you are administrator or guest.
