I'm running Windows XP. Things run fine at first but after a while, no matter what I'm working on, my desktop icons disappear. I have to constanly go to Windows Task Manager and select "Create New Task" typing in Explorer.exe to bring them back. I have to do this multiple times in any session. Can you help? Thank you very much. Lisa

Sounds like you have a corrupt explorer.exe file. Google on how to replace it with a new one.
