I had problems replacing my nearly full PATA 160 GB hard drive with a new larger 1 TB SATA drive. I used HDClone 3.7 to clone the old to the new drive. When I disconnected the old drive, XP would not start-up. I tried installing SATA driver for without success, the BIOS detects the drive OK. So I connected both drives and XP started with errors. Looking at My Computer the new drive was C: and the old drive was F: Now XP doesn't boot from my previous old drive alone because it has changed from C: to F:. How can I get either drive to boot up?

see if you can make the drive "active" that you want to boot from, next time that you try that with Ghost let it finish the cloning process
