What exactly does this have to do with CPUs?

the tv section is dead......

Well, a lot of other forums aren't as busy as the CPU forum, that's true, but it's still not a good idea to just post a topic in another forum, that's specifically for CPUs, that's not about CPUs.

In any case...

If both sets are equal in quality, then the answer is pretty simple. Go with the cheaper one, but only if quality is similar. Also, you have to look at what resolution both will max out, for best quality.

I'm not even going to recommend one over the other, since I have not seen either tv's picture quality. It's up to you, since you're going to purchase one of these sets to do some legwork, and find reviews, opinions (at the correct forums), and maybe even find both sets at a store, and do a live comparasion.

Good luck.

I'd go with Samsung. But yeah, wrong forum, you need to ask people who know that stuff better.

Are you hooking up to a cable box or OTA ??? Are you going to hook up to a computer? Will you be connecting a game console? How about a surround sound receiver?

wats OTA? will hook up with cable n xbox 360.....no surround sound setup yet

Reply to samiii

OTA = over-the-air

In order to view high-definition content you will need a digital cable box if it is available to you. I do not believe the S Series Bravia has DVI input and only has 1 HDMI connection.

I would concentrate on what you hope your final setup to be and verify that the unit has the capabilty/connections that you need. As an example some units have audio outputs to pass thru signals.

Yourquestions can be better answered at
The AVS Forum Display thread.
