hi my laptop will not load vista, it goes through the windows vista screen then goes blank with just the mouse arrow showing...any ideas?

In BIOS set the first boot device to DVD, place the Vista installation disk in the tray and save and exit. When prompted to 'press any key to boot to DVD' press any key at that time.
