Register or log in to remove.

Try resetting the BIOS. Look on the bottom to see if there's a reset button.

Try removing each of the RAM chips one at a time (if there's more than 1).

There's no restart button, GOD i really don't want to take it to the shop. I thought there could be something i could do myself!

Are you sure it's not just set to an external display? It's usually triggered by one of the function keys, like f7.

Did something happen between when it was fine and now?

Have you tried both, the battery and plugging into an outlet?

i was in add and delete programs, i was going to delete a program but before i could even do that it froze. So i shut it down. When I tried to reboot all i got was a black screen. It shuts down again than tries to restart again but no luck. Did I break it? lol  oh and yes I tried rebooting using one or the other (battery or outlet ) and nothing.

If you're not even seeing the windows splash screen, then it's likely hardware related. So, if it makes you feel better, you probably didn't break it.

Try tapping f8 on startup to see if you can access safe mode. If yes, try a restore point.

If not, try f11 on startup to see if you can access a recovery partition (if there is one).
