Hi there,

I have been reading on the forum about using prime95 to test your system's stability. Most OC'ers recommand a 24 hour prime95 stress test, but i decided to run it for at least 2 days. It failed at 44 hours.

Is my system stable?

umm i know its not stable after 44 hours. but most other OC'ers only run it for 24 hours.
I guess what i am asking is "will this system be acceptable for those that OC?"

That crash may have been a result of a voltage drop in Your apartment, Your neighbor messing with his microwave or virtually anything else. Do not bother. It is very unlikely that Your system will be running close to 100% CPU utilisation for that long anyway.

Probably more so than most of the people who post on the boards

LOL :D

After 44 hours could be something or nothing

see how system goes. we all get random events from time to time

I'd say it's nothing to worry about. If you are using Arctic Silver, the burn-in period is 7-14 days of 100% usage till the compound is "burned in"--aka most effective.
