I like to run system maintenance at the end of each day, but want the computer to completely power down afterwards. Is Hibernate the best way to accomplish this?
Thanks.

I believe when you schedule tasks, you can set it to shutdown after completion.

Hibernate is just a low power sleep mode. It doesn't power down, it just uses less power.

Wrong! Hibernate saves the state of the computer to hiberfil.sys and POWERS OFF the system. Stand By Mode is low power.

Wow, relax grumpy.

Yep, I was incorrect in my previous statement. It does power down. It stores your RAM contents so when you come back it starts up where you left off.
