Two days old HP pavilion dv6700. Vista home premium
It uses Atheros AR5007 for 11b/g and device manager doesn't have any conflicts.

After buying it yesterday, it found my wireless connection and I entered the WEP password and it took off. .... (3 hrs later) I plugged in my LAN plug wire and again it took off and worked fine.
I removed Norton and installed AVG and now....... no connection works.

I would like it to be able to connect wirelessly to my wireless/wired router as before.

Can you give me some tips...?

I'm sure that AVG is blocking and you just need to allow it. What do you mean by "no connection works" Like you can't browse the web, or it won't even pull an IP address from your router?

Oh ya, email is the heart of work.

I've tried shuting down AVG... same issue, can't surf the web or get mail due to no connection.
Need help (tip) in getting it to find and connect as in the begging.

At first, it found 3 or 4 wireless signals here around my house and all i did was select mine, WEP the password and away it went ... worked fine till something happened...... hence--- this post.

thanks!!

I feel dumb and stupid and have to apologize.

I accidentally hit the wireless switch and turned it off.

Thanks for even letting me post !!
