I my D drive will not install or play any disk programs have i not got the settings correct? :hello:

Is the D drive a DVD drive or hard drive?

Is it a new install, or a working drive that just started doing this?

Does it show in my computer? Disk management?

Ya, that's what I was thinking, but it's not real clear. And it makes a big difference on what to diagnose.

IIt is a DVD drive, I am a newbie & did i not intend to post 3 times but your software kept telling me I was't registered

It as only started doing this recently it is a cd grive but will not install new programs

The CD drive don't read anything? music, games, programs, files....or just the autorun don't works.

I think it could be the autorun but I'm not sure, all the autorun boxes were set to default

The D Drive is only the CD drive :D

Autorun isn't a big deal. Put in the cd, go to my computer, and double click on your D drive.

If it kind of freezes or shows an empty disc, the problem is likely the disc. If the drive isn't showing up, then it's the drive/software.

^+1 or try with a external cd/dvd drive. If the external works, the problem is your cd drive.

Nothing happens when I click 'my computer' except video TS appears as a blue box, the disc loads on my XP3 laptop

That means you're trying to play a video CD. Download VLC, right click on the drive, choose to play with VLC. Or open VLC and under the file menu, you can open the video CD.

I've tried VCL, the same thing, but I am trying to install Printmaster from a cd program i don't understand why autorun will not open it . It installs on XP3

Yes, the same thing will happen. If you are in VLC, you need to select on that video_ts folder and play that file.

To set up an autorun default, right click and go to the properties of the CD drive in my computer. On the autoplay tab, you can set default actions for each type of media.
