Hi,
I have a bizzare problem with windows xp+explorer. System restore, User accounts, etc. they all refuse to function- instead of windows with content, they're all coming up blank=without any content. In a similar manner, flash material is missing and web pages with lots of flash not loading at all- clean white page. possibly, the problem involves active-x issue (the active-x questions are missing= not coming at all). What can i do to fix this?

SP3 comes with IE7and if you upgraded/downgraded to IE8 go back to IE7, IE8 still has a lot of bugs

but it's not a version problem. the problem exists in windows apps and in explorer 7. upgrading to IE8 doesn't solve it.

Did you have sp3 installed before ie8?

Yes. It's not related to IE8. One day my Windows just went wrong.
