My Medion PC has decided to become unreliable at startup. It sometimnes freezes, sometimnes beeps erratically and today I got what I thought was to be a fatal bootmgr corrupt.

But on powering off and on again it booted fine!

I could do without the inconvenience of having to try booting several times on occasion but am worried that eventually it will just die and intrigued as to how it can have a corrupt boot one minute then be fine the next.

Any ideas please?

The first thing I would do is backup everything just in case.
Can you list the system specs including the power supply that you are using?
Also can you tell the pattern of the beeping as that is a big clue as to what may be going on.

Open the system recovery options, with the OS disk or the repair disk. Open the command prompt and write this command in the same order that i say.

1- "bootrec /fixmbr"
2- "bootrec /fixboot"
3- "bootrec /rebuildbdc".
