I edit videos of private functions. For better decoding time, i like to get more ram, from 4 to 8gb. I understand that the only way to do it is through 64 bit os. Now I want to be absolutely sure that what i edit and save, can be read in 32bit os. Is it possible?
basically what i am asking is if there is a way in which I can transfer files from 32 bit to 64 bit and vice versa.
The only way you'll be able to take full advantage of the extra RAM is to ensure your editing suite is 64-bit also... otherwise your application is still limited to 2GB of address space. Of course, 2GB may be enough for your application anyway... but having a 64-bit OS means that you'll have that much more RAM free for anything else.

Zoron: I understand the ram limits as I mention it in earlier post. but thanks for answering.
P.S. : for coding and decoding video file, faster cpu and more and faster ram is always better.
Ijack: buddy you absolutely sure about reading and writing? This is what i will be doing. get a 32 bit file from xp. edit it in 64bit xp. save it in 64bit xp and then open it in 32bit xp.
