Hi all 1st post so would appreciate any help. Have recently purchased Acer Aspire x1300, however i cannot get system to boot, I have tried recovery management from hard drive as I dont have CD but system keeps stopping everytime at the same place and eventually fails. If I loaded win 7 onto system would this get over this issue. If not any idea where I can get a recovery disk?

Thanks in adavnce for any help.

Steve

This works, i read this from another thread.

Open "System Recovery Options" on the repair disk, or OS disk. Open up the Command Prompt.Try typing the following commands in order: "bootrec /fixmbr", "bootrec /fixboot", "bootrec /rebuildbdc".
