Hey.. I see toms hardware only has the 8800 series card from the 8xxx series card ... does anyone have have the other 8xxx series card in comparison .. to like say the 7xxx series cards .. like I want to know how well the 8500gt and 8600gt and 8600gts performs..
See that search engine called google stop making the poor thing feel neglected and give it a whirl with questions like "8800GTX review" and "8600 series review" (without the quotation marks of obliviously ) I know I know its just outrageous and incomprehensible, also it would have taken you less time and effort to just google it then post a topic. sorry if i seem like a jackass with this post but for the love of god...
well obviously this seemed like a better option as this is like a computer forum where as people have problabily already done it and know of some good ones, do u really have nothing better to do than write comments like that, have some respect man, this is a computer forum, if there was no one asking questions the forum wouldn't exist I'm sure u can find all the answers on google, like what motherboards good etc... or how to overclock etc, but people chose not to because they know it'll probally take less searching here, yes i can find one on google, but that takes more time to find a good noe ususally with a forum, I just have to type the question and wait sometime, during that time i can do other stuff with my time. This is how a forum usually works, people answers each others question that they already know, not write comments like yours.
Yeah, agree with Shargrath as you could find your answer faster but as a general review:
8500GT sucks!(you should check Cleeve's thread that shows it performs much worst than 6600GT)
8600GT is not bad but i rather the 7600GT since it's little faster and cheaper and don't mind the DirectX10 cause 8600GT is not powerful enough to run any DirectX10 games with some eye candy.(Performs between 7600GS and 7600GT)
8600GTS is good and fast and powerful but it's a bit overpriced for it's performance, so Radeon X1950XT would be a better choice.(Performs about 7950GT)

Hey I apologize for my post as it seemed brash and attacking but your likely to get the same results from googling it as you would asking on a forum. I googled the 8800gtx review and 8600 series review before posting my original comment and found at least 3 respectable review for both of the searches on the first page of each.
Why does everybody keeps saying the 7600gt is faster then the 8600gt? That was only 1 site that said that, all the other sides prove otherwise :?
Even if 8600GT is faster than 7600GT, it would be faster by 1~2% so it doesn't make it a better choice as it's more expensive. You may say that it supports DirectX10 but what's the use? it's like to play Oblivion with a GeForce6200.
No its clearly faster then the 7600gt, a few games wich there close to each other , but the 8600gt always is the faster one. If you look at games as oblivion or rainbow six vegas or stalker the 8600gt is far ahead of the 7600gt, so the 8600gt is probably better for more of the future games.
