When I try to install printer, message comes up saying I need VGA.DRV. Trie searching for this file but not on computer. Then inserted WindowsXP cd and that said that it couldn't reinstall because the version I have is new and the cd is old. but its the ine that came with the computer. Please help, need to print important files and can't.

Check in your device manager for any conflicts (yellow !). You may need to uninstall and restart. Do you have an add on video card or do you use onboard video?

Found this thread. It says to try an repair IE in add/remove programs.

Hi, not sure what video I have, but in device manager, there is a yellow question mark. I'm using a dell laptop.

You have an onboard video....download the drivers of the GPU that the device manager show and install them....reboot and try again...
